Types of Roofing:

Hot and Cold Applied Modified Bitumen Systems (MB)
SBS Granular is designed for new roofing and re-roofing applications as well as the construction of flashing.  SBS Granular is also an ideal product for repairs of built-up roofing membranes or other modified bitumen systems. SBS has elongation and recovery properties that allow it to accommodate recurring stresses, reducing the possibility of premature fatigue failure. This also gives it remarkable cold-weather performance.  SBS products are can be installed using hot asphalt or cold adhesives as the bonding agent.

Heat Welded Modified Bitumen Systems (MB)
APP and SBS products provide tensile strength while maintaining critical flexibility. These membranes can be heat welded (torch applied). They have a built-in, hot-melt adhesive, making hot mopping unnecessary.  All the modified bitumen products are covered with ceramic roofing granules, or have a surface compatible with coatings.

Built Up Roof Systems (BUR)
This roof consists of layers of tar paper between alternate layers of hot melted bitumen (asphalt). Typically 3 to 5 plies are used in building the roof membrane. On slag roofs a flood coat of hot bitumen (asphalt) is applied over the entire roof.  Before the flood coat cools, a layer of crushed rock is imbedded into the surface. The crushed rock protects the typically black membrane from the suns UV rays and keeps the energy costs down by reflecting the heat.

EPDM: Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer or Rubber:
This material is typically black or white (Energy Star Compliant) and is laid out over any type of insulation board. EPDM can be applied directly to any roof substrate when using a Fleece Back EPDM membrane. A wide range of odorless adhesives are available for both insulation and membrane installations over any roof substrate. One side of an EPDM membrane has factory applied seam tape which is adhered to an adjacent sheet using a one part cleaner primer. Seams are compressed together using a steel roller to assure optimum performance. The EPDM membranes are also available with internal reinforcing for high impact and puncture resistant applications.

Thermoplastics single ply roofing (TPO)
TPO is a fully self-adhered membrane. It has an added adhesive pre-applied to the bottom of the sheet for quick installation. They are especially suited for schools, hospitals, high-rises, and coastal locations subject to extreme wind conditions. It is available in Energy Star white and earth tone tan.

Liquid Applied Roof Membranes
Elastomeric Roofing Membrane is a water-based roll on or spray-applied liquid, which cures to form a seamless rubber membrane. It offers high tensile strength and is virtually undamaged by extended exposure to solar ultraviolet energy. It is available in white (for maximum reflectivity) and 15 standard colors. Custom tinting is available upon request. Elastomeric Roofing Membrane is designed to protect and waterproof metal, wood, copper, PVC, transite, EPDM, BUR, MB, and concrete roof substrates for many years.

This is a two ply, hot applied rubberized asphalt, formulated to provide a monolithic fully adhered roofing and waterproofing membrane.  It is composed of a specially selected blend of refined asphalts, synthetic rubber and mineral stabilizers. This material offers building professionals the design flexibility for a variety of applications for extensive or intensive systems. Whether you are looking to increase your green space, provide roof terraces, incorporate walkways or plazas, or wish to reduce rainwater runoff, there are many advantages to Green Roofing.
